Jam the Kid (ジャム・ザー・キッド Jamu zā Kiddo) is an anthropomorphic goat kid and a junior detective for the Chaotix Detective Agency, working as an apprentice under Inspector Charmy Bee, as well as self-appointed leader of Team NuChaotix. After years idolizing the concept of world-renowned heroes like Sonic the Hedgehog and his companions, Jam has made it their mission to try and live up to that level of altruism and leave their mark on the world, or at least the city.
Jam has a good heart and a keen mind, but they often let their stubborness in reaching their goals affect their judgement. Being a detective in training, they value their sharp wits and their ability to make quick conclusions to their advantage in their line of work, as well as against threats. As logic-minded as they may be, they can be made to act on pure emotions if one were to poke at the right insecurities. This is displayed most frequently by Glimmer, who Jam has a light-hearted rivalry with. They try to see the best in people and are slow to accept that someone might be beyond help,
